The CSF’s magazine explores inequalities, financial literacy and the evolution of professional practices

Against the backdrop of a major transformation in the supervision of Quebec's financial sector, the Chambre de la sécurité financière (the CSF) unveils the Summer 2025 edition of its magazine CSF Mag+. This issue highlights the social issues shaping the practice of financial advice today, with articles rooted in day-to-day reality and a forward-looking vision.

Highlights of this issue include:

  • an article on the accessibility in insurance language, highlighting the importance of properly simplifying contractual terms in order to improve customer understanding and in turn strengthen confidence in advisors.
  • the place of women in the financial sector is highlighted, with a report on the tenth anniversary of L'effet A. This innovative program, focused on developing female leadership, illustrates the efforts being made to break glass ceilings and promote greater representation of women in decision-making bodies.

Feature: “Argent, inégalités et société” Chair

At the heart of this issue is a feature on the “Argent, inégalités et société” Chair, the fruit of an unprecedented partnership between the CSF and the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS). Through its research and training programs, this Chair aims to equip professionals to better support clienteles in situations of inequity or faced with complex dynamics, particularly in terms of gender, status or origin.

"We wanted to shed new light on financial inequalities. In a context where life's unforeseen events or economic setbacks can compromise the financial security of everyone, it became essential to create a structuring and sustainable initiative to support advisors and, through them, the Quebec population", says Daniel Richard, Vice-President, Community Relations at the CSF.

Professionalism and support

Professionals will also find concrete content to support their practice, particularly in the areas of ethics, financial literacy and best practices. The magazine also looks back at the reform process set in motion by Law 92, which redefines the role of self-regulatory organizations in the interests of greater coherence and efficiency.

CSF Mag+ is available free of charge on the CSF website (in French only) and is distributed to all CSF members.
